Knee-high by the fourth of July

This is an old adage used by farmers across the globe to measure the success of their corn yields. It was believed that corn that was knee high by early July indicated high yields for the year. With the dry spring, followed by frost and now moving into heat and moisture, it will be interesting to see if this old adage comes true this year. Vogel Photo
