MAXVILLE – PJ Trailers, located at 4221 Stewart Glen Road in North Glengarry, held their Grand Opening on May 13.

This location provides sales and service to customers in an area stretching from Kingston to Ottawa and into Quebec.

There was a good turnout at the event with people of all ages visiting the site, enjoying lunch and seeing the inventory of trailers.

Describing the response from the community as “good, really good,” Marshall Penner, eastern sales manager, explained that the business has been at the location since January 2021, with its grand opening having been delayed by the pandemic.

He mentioned that their clientele includes contractors, homeowners and farmers, with a wide variety of trailers available for sale, ranging from ATV trailers to enclosed, utility and heavy equipment trailers. Penner explained that there are various uses for trailers such as hauling soil, mulch, hay, water tanks and taking items to landfill sites.

Visitors to PJ Trailers will immediately see a variety of trailers on display outside; some of the brands available for purchase include PJ Trailers, Wolverine, Iron Bull, Dark Horse and Alcom Trailers. Inside the building are displays of trailer accessories and parts, with friendly staff offering their assistance and knowledge to clients.

“We pride ourselves on stocking a variety of product to meet the customer’s needs with quality trailers,” commented Brian Klassen, chief financial officer at PJ Trailers’ head office in Manitoba. Klassen was at the Grand Opening and explained that PJ Trailers began in 2002 in Manitoba.  He continued to say that there are two locations in Alberta, two in Manitoba and two in Ontario.  This family-owned company offers several types of trailers from flat decks to dump trailers to utility and cargo trailers for sale.

Both Klassen and Penner agree the pandemic has increased the demand for utility trailers and presented challenges in securing replacement parts, tires, and accessories.  More information on the company can be found on their website or by calling one of their dealerships.
