SHERBROOKE—A John Deere dealership in Sherbrooke Quebec went up in flames in late January according to various sources. The dealership was owned by the JLD Lague Company and located on Queen St. near Lennoxville.
The fire broke out about 1:30 a.m. on Thurs., Jan. 31, and caused about $3-million in damages; it took 25 firefighters to battle the blaze. There were no injuries reported and firefighters remained on scene until around 6 a.m. The building itself was a total loss. The fire was deemed accidental and fire fighters had to be careful due to the combustible contents inside the building.
According to the manager, the dealership will be rebuilt after the insurance company assesses the damage.
