Those from Eastern Ontario know that there is no place quite like this beautiful part of Ontario. We also know that we welcome those from other areas to Eastern Ontario with open arms. This month’s Eastern Ontario Women in Agriculture profile feature is on Sydney Carson.

Originally from Listowel area in southwestern Ontario, Carson decided to move to Eastern Ontario a few years ago. Carson met her now fiancée, Campbell Kippen from Maxville, while they both were attending Ridgetown College. Carson and Kippen wanted to continue the Kippen dairy operation and Carson decided to make Maxville her new home.

Carson is a small business advisor with Scotiabank in Alexandria and loves being a part of the Eastern Ontario community. She says, “[Eastern Ontario] is beautiful and there is so much history. It’s interesting to compare agriculture practices here from back home.

When asked what attracted her to join the Eastern Ontario Women in Agriculture group, she said, “I joined because I am still new to the community, and I love meeting new people that have similar interests. I have met a lot of great friends through the Junior Farmers’ Association of Ontario, and I hope to with EOWIA as well!” Welcome to beautiful and wonderful Eastern Ontario, Sydney.
