During the Ottawa Valley Farm Show, Precision Planting North East U.S. and Canada Regional Manager Chris Creek spoke to a crowd about Precision Planting’s technology available now and what is to come. One of the most exciting technologies for the company is the Smart Firmer. an LED sensor that can measure real-time organic matter while planting so producers can make in-the-moment decisions about their seeding. The technology is capable of measuring additional components of the soil once those options become available and will only require a software update, something Creek was proud to say, Precision Planting has always offered for free.
