A sure sign of summer

The Maxville Fair kicked off the summer as one of the region’s first fairs of the season. Livestock shows are always a hit at the local fairs and give competitors from near and far a chance to exhibit their skills and their animal’s best features. First place Marie-Rose Morneau of Kingsbury, Que., with Premium Hypnotic Brandy and second place Clodine Baumgartner of Navan, with Exemdale Hotline Jingle proved themselves and came out on top during the Maxville Fair Showmanship 15-18 years class.        MacDonald photo
